Update: Senator Does Not Give Up on California Online Poker Initiative

Interested parties debate a compromise
Though online poker legalisation measure SB1463 had to be withdrawn from political committee sessions two weeks ago, California Senator Rod Wright claims the initiative is far from dead.
To prove that they have not yet given up on the project, Senator and his colleague Sen. Darrell Steinberg, are attending various debates and meetings with interested parties hoping to reach a practical compromise, though everyone is aware that agreement among so many commercial and political groups requires nerves of steel.
As per the San Francisco Chronicle, the new committee hearing could be scheduled soon, but time is a crucial aspect as California’s legislative session ends August 31 and the state legislature adjourns for the summer recess on July 6.
