Update: Joe Cada eliminated in Heads Up of World Series Of Poker – Event 31


NLHE competition won by the former EPT Champ Carter Phillips

The 2010 WSOP Main Event champion Joe Cada was defeated late Monday night in the heads up against the former EPT title holder Carter Phillips in the Event 31 of the World Series of Poker – $1,500 buy-in No-Limit Hold’em competition.

This is a second WSOP bracelet for Phillips together with a main prize of $664,130.

The star-studded competition was entered by 2,811 players and final table comprised Tom Chambers, Cherish Andrews, Najib Kamand, Max Lehmanski, Michael Aron, Jonathan Poche and Huy Quach. The generated prize pool amounted to $3,794,850.

The two opponents were equal showing steady nerves and holding proportionate number of chips, but Phillips succeeded in taking control at an early stage and gradually gained advantage to throw out Cada home with a second reward of $412,424.
