Update: Tim Adams from Burlington takes World Series of Poker Event 28


First World Series of Poker bracelet for Canadian pro

Over the weekend, World Series of Poker winner annals welcomed Canadian poker pro Tim Adams after his win in the Event 28, a $2,5000 buy-in No-Limit Hold’em Four Handed. This is his first winner’s bracelet in the competition of 750 optimistic players trying to win the main prize of $392,476.

With a 6 to 1 chip lead, Adams played against the talented and resolute Brendon Rube in the heads up, after defeating the third placed James Schaaf with his $164,823 prize.

Rube was patient and earned two double ups halfway through the heads up considerably narrowing the gap, but could not avoid elimination and a runner-up check for $242,458.
