Recreational Players Focus of Party Poker Software Update

Software removes High stakes NLHE and PLO
A report arrived this week of a new software update by Party Poker which includes a removal of high stakes NLHE and PLO cash games, without any prior notice.
Of course, this caused confusion among the online poker community, which recently saw PKR introduce a similar measure, but withdrew the move after a lot of criticism.
As for Party Poker, it specified that the move is in the best interests of players and is designed to improve the poker ecology, discouraging quot;sharksquot; and enabling recreational players’ bank rolls to last longer.
It was wisely opined by industry observers that, since poker economy survives on money injected by recreational players, it makes perfect sense for companies to focus on such players by enabling them to hold onto their bankrolls for longer.
