UKIPT Newcastle Taken Down by Brit Player

A Brit player Chris Ferguson was victorious at the PokerStars UK & Ireland Poker Tour Newcastle main event this week, taking down the main prize of GBP 105,900.
On his way to the victory, he bested a stellar entry field of 623 players, some of which were the likes of WSOP ace Sam Holden, Jude Ainsworth, Liv Boeree, Sam Grafton, Vicky Coren, Max Silver and Maximilian Heinzelmann.
The GBP 770 buy-in event proved to be a lucrative one for Ferguson, who still had to work hard to earn his seat at the final table, which also included Alex Jobling, Sam Holden, David Knight, Ewan Brown, Anthony Shields, Jack Sambrook, Dan Hemingway and Matthias Mordhorst.
In the heads-up, he fought Alex Jobling for the winner&s paycheck, but was proved to be too tough for his opponent, whom he left with a second prize worth GBP 63,860.
