Update: Event 32 – World Series of Poker marked by Bakes success


Experienced final tablers sent home by 25-year-old David Baker

World Series of Poker Event 32 – $10,000 buy-in H.O.R.S.E is marked by the victory of David ‘Bakes’ Baker (25) in some seriously tough competition at the final table.

At least six of the final tablers have previously won WSOP bracelets, including Phil Hellmuth, John Monette, Phil Ivey, Dan Kelly and Abe Mosseri.

The elimination of Paul Sokoloff on Monday night announced an interesting heads up between Baker and John Monette, who has already secured himself one bracelet in this year’s tournament. It was Baker$s focus and persistence that led him towards victory and his second WSOP bracelet. He outplayed his distinguished rival and took home the bracelet and the main prize of $451,779. Monette earned $279,206 as a second prize.

A prize pool was worth $1,673,200 as the event attracted 178 entrants.
