Update: World Series of Poker Bracelet goes to Schwartz in Event 27

$1,500 buy-in H.O.R.S.E. event marked by the success of the chess and poker expert
World Series of Poker bracelet for the first time went to Ylon Schwartz, a player famous for his chess and poker achievements, as well as for his somewhat abrasive personality.
After reaching several final tables, including one in the main event in 2008, at the world’s biggest poker tournament in the past, a poker whiz from Brooklyn, New York, finally took the bracelet and the $267,081 main prize in Event 27 $1,500 buy-in H.O.R.S.E.
Schwartz (42) entered the field of 889 players together with some of the leading names in the industry and managed to reach the final table with the top players such as David Chiu, Stephen Chidwick, Robby Rasmussen, Elior Sion, John Rogers, Jason Brown and Marlon Milne.
Play was paused on the third day of the event, with only three players advancing to the pre-heads-up level – Schwartz, David Chiu and Stephen Chidwick.
On Saturday, the game continued and Schwartz swiftly sent Chidwick home in third place for $112,106. Heads up against four-time WSOP bracelet holder David Chiu started with Shwartz having a valuable chip lead.
Although at one point the experienced WSOP player came close, Schwartz managed to keep the advantage and discourage Chiu’s best efforts to pull off a comeback.
Chiu$s luck changed when he lost a massive pot in seven-card leaving him exposed to his harsh rival, who instantly eliminated Chiu with the second prize of $164,960. It took an hour-and-a-half for the day$s action to complete.
Schwartz’s career earnings rose to almost $5 million in 61 tournament cashes after this major success.
