in need of help understanding online poker bonuses?

ok i no that with all online poker sites you will most likely have to play a certain amount of hands to get your full bonus but im using full tilt poker right now and im only 17 so i cant play for real right now but i would like to know if you get the points for getting the money bonus could these points still be used to buy items from the full tilt store.

    Well first of all there are 2 different types of bonuses that are available. The first is money bonuses, which are either new player bonuses or reload bonuses. You make a deposit, and as you play the bonus money is freed up and before too long you’ve unlocked it all. Some sites give you money up front as well meaning you get a part of the bonus right out of the gate. With these bonuses you get the cash and this is different from frequent player points which are paid out continually by some sites and are redeemed generally for merchandise when you rack up enough points for the particular prize.

    You actually CAN start playing for real money even though you’re 17. Just stick to freeroll tournaments.

    And yeah, the points you get can be used in the store regardless of age. I’m confused as to how you would get points though if you aren’t 18 and don’t have a way of depositing yet? I am pretty sure you have to play real-money to earn points.

    Either way, if you are trying to build a bankroll, there are several sites that offer freerolls, and a few that offer other ways to start a bankroll.
